today i planted chamomile, tomatoes two kinds, and parsley. it felt so good just to put my hands in the earth. i used a planter so they could be decorative too. the plants are sitting next to the front steps. i cant wait until stuff starts to bloom.
more planting tomorrow. boy seeds have really gone up in price. but totally worth it still. i also raked the front yard, i didnt put the yard waste into bags but instead i wait to rake until the city is going to do the annual street sweeping and rake the leaves and other stuff into the street. i figure before so many humans lived here many many more leaves and small branches fell into the river...
i dont really have a list from year to year of what i am planting. i have a general idea but not a plotted out excell sheet of what varieties or anything. so my list generally is things that look pretty at the various plants sales i go to. as a result i have like ten varieties of lavender, basil and echinacea. one or two pumpkins, one or two chamomile, two or three tomatoes, a huge strawberry patch, three kinds of roses, two squash, and a buncha other plants.
this is the time of year that makes up for winter, or hmmm... rather almost makes up for winter. almost.
